Pancakes

American Pancakes | Thermomix

Hey 🙂

Once again we upgraded our breakfast with a really quick American pancake recipe. In our case, we used the Vorwerk Thermomix , which speeds up the process even more. In any case, you can, of course, do the recipe with a hand mixer, a blender or just by hand. The blender just makes it super easy, quick, and lets you be a little more spontaneous.

Additionally, a blender is the perfect fit because of its speed. The recipe works with baking soda. As many of you know, baking soda has to be processed real fast, and after adding it (as an ingredient) you should not continue to mix for a longer stretch of time. So, just as a recommendation: go for a blender for this recipe 🙂

What you need (for 2 people having brekky):

  • 25 g of butter
  • 140 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • sugar (depending on how sweet you want them to be, and what you add as a topping)
  • -> if you go for maple syrup, just use 15-20 g of sugar, otherwise use more
  • 100g all purpose flour
  • add some salt – as always -> sweets go well with a liiiiiittle salt
  • vanilla extract -> as much as you want to use

Steps:

  1. melt your butter
  2. put all ingredients in your blender – if working with a hand mixer, first combine egg, milk, sugar, salt then dry ingredients
  3. mix for approximately 20 sec in your blender – not too long -> just until you get a nice texture and everything is well-combined
  4. preheat a pan, use butter, oil (e.g. coconut oil -> as you can heat it up really well, and it gives your pancakes some nice coconut scent and taste 🙂 )
  5. bake your pancakes for approx. 1 min on each side, or until you can see bubbles evenly spread over the surface
  6. top the pancakes however you like
  7. enjoy -> and don’t forget -> take some pictures
  8. if you want to, post them on Instagram and use the #pancakeparty17  🙂

xoxo rosebays!
